Surfing safari, swinging sixties splash mob Malibu styles! Pip, Jude & Lara have been confirming things behind the scenes and hatching a plan SO here’s some updated dates for you.

WHB Christmas Picnic: Sunday 7 December 10am, Judges Bay (end of Judges Bay Rd, Parnell) - come along and meet up, chat about the season’s plans, share chrissy picnic eats, splash at one of the beaches we’ll perform at. Maybe Lara will have a groovy move to teach us. Wipe Out Bootcamp = Moves to Sunday 8 Feb 2015 10am-5pm (not Sat 31 Jan) We’ve condensed and juggled things so no rehearsals over Akl Anniv weekend, but this bootcamp at the end of Waitangi weekend when most people are likely to be back if been away.4. Wednesday 11 Feb, 7pm – 9.30pmAlso - Sat 14 Feb run thru before first performance, and Wednesday 18 Feb, 7pm – 9.30pm - for Splore if we need itPerformances: times TBC once we’ve recce’d them all1. COMMITMENT:

Come to all rehearsals if you can. Not compulsory to attend all, but the 8th Feb & 11 Feb are really important to be there. Learn the moves from the YouTube videos we’ll email you and join in next session.

If you can’t make each rehearsal or each performance – that is OK, this is for everyone no matter how much or little time you have.

BYO black togs for the performances, Women - a onesie all black, not bikini. Loads of cost-friendly and lady-bits-friendly options at postie plus, glassons etc.

Men – black boardies and singlet/rash top if you want.

HOW:

We do this in water up to our waists, at the beach. All welcome, no experience nec.

Bring a friend to join, men-friends welcome too.

Aim is to be fun & achievable for everyone, learn from the video, attend the rehearsals you can & it’ll all come together great.

Lara choreographs moves that are beautiful, cool, hilarious, easy yet challenging (i.e. which arm is your left arm? make it do this cool thing…)

She films it so you can learn it over xmas, then we gather in January & put it all together.

We rehearse it ‘dry’ a few times, in a school hall or on the grass near the beach, learn the moves & each others names, laugh and get it wrong.

Then we take it to the water for ‘wet’ rehearsals, where we learn how to move like elegant water ballerinas in the sea, and put it all together! Beautiful!

FEES:

$50 subs + cap at $15 each.
